Vegetable Garden Prep and Homecoming

Potato planting and other garden prep filled the morning, Yukon Gold and Russet varieties are going in this year.

Before getting very far we were blessed with another drench of rain, sending us inside for a restful coffee break.

Flower baskets are hung, and tomato plants are climatized in preparation for a permanent move to the garden.

Robins are nesting and an American Goldfinch graced us with its tiny presence at the feeding station.

Hummingbirds have returned safely from their arduous journey and made an appearance at their own special feeder to greet us.

Spring routines have arrived here at the cottage. Relief along with feelings of joy and ease settle in. It’s been a long wait.

Blessings!
